4. Camera & Image Access

Chalcack may access your device’s camera and photo library to recognize problems. Permissions are used only when you explicitly allow them. We do not store or share images beyond analysis purposes. All images are disposed of after automated analysis and are not retained unnecessarily on our servers.

5. AI & Third-Party APIs

Explanations may be generated using AI services such as OpenAI or Microsoft Azure. Minimal necessary data (e.g., an image or text) may be sent to such providers, in anonymized/de-identified form. Third-party services are managed under our privacy safeguards.

6. Retention

We retain personal data for the duration of your use of the Service and delete it without undue delay once the purpose is fulfilled. Where laws require longer retention, we store it securely for the legally required period.

7. Sharing with Third Parties

We do not provide personal data to outsiders except in the following cases:

- With your prior consent

- When required by law

- When minimal data must be sent to OpenAI or Microsoft to deliver AI analysis

8. Security Measures

We take technical and organizational measures to protect data, including:

- Encryption and access controls

- Regular security reviews and updates

- Collection and storage of de-identified logs

- Staff training on privacy protection

9. Your Rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing of your personal data at any time via email. We will act without undue delay, subject to legal retention obligations.

Chalcack does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 14. Use without parental consent is not permitted under applicable laws. If we learn data was collected without consent, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy. Changes will be announced in-app or on our website in advance; material changes will be announced at least 7 days prior.
